Oregon Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America serves more than 5,000 youth, supported by over 2,500 adults in over 400 units. It includes 7 districts in 6 counties covering Western Oregon including communities like Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Roseburg, and Coos Bay. Scouts are also served along the Oregon Coast is covered from Lincoln City to Brookings.

Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST)
The purpose of this course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and the organizational and leadership skills needed to most effectively reach success in that role. Completion of ILST is a prerequisite for Boy Scouts to participate in the more advanced leadership courses National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and the National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE). It is also required to participate in a Kodiak Challenge Trek.

Location: Troop 3 Cabin
Time 4:00PM March 9 thru 3:00PM March 10

  • Wear a complete uniform.

  • Bring:

    • a sleeping bag &pad

    • P.J.’s ( something to sleep in)

    • something to write on and with

    • toiletries (tooth brush etc.).

Cost $25.00 (includes pizza supper, breakfast, lunch and learning materials.
