EMT Associates Presents
Wilderness First Aid 2018

Instructor: Mike Foote, EMT-I
Wilderness First Aid is emergency care when delayed transit and limited resources are an issue – any time you are in the backcountry, a rural area or a third world country. Are you hours from a hospital? Are the roads snowed in? Have you backpacked hours away from rescue? Are the only medical resources what you carry on your back? Then you need Wilderness First Aid. The course expands general first aid to give more detailed information and hands on skills practice for the remote setting – using what you will find in your back pack to care for patients. This Wilderness First Aid class is open to adults and Scouts @ least age 14 may apply. Both days are 9a-6p, with ½ hr lunch break and bring your own lunch and snacks. EPI for bee sting will be offered to ages 18+.
April 14-15, 2018 (Saturday & Sunday) 9a – 6p
