Oregon Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America serves more than 5,000 youth, supported by over 2,500 adults in over 400 units. It includes 7 districts in 6 counties covering Western Oregon including communities like Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Roseburg, and Coos Bay. Scouts are also served along the Oregon Coast is covered from Lincoln City to Brookings.

Oregon Trail Council is excited to announce the new Camp Card sale! This program is designed to help Scouts easily earn their way to summer camp.

Earn 50% commission: $2.50 for every $5 card sold

Key Dates

  • February 9        Submit card order
  • March Roundtables:      Camp Cards distributed and sales begin
  • April 24               Turn in money + Unit Master and unsold cards for 50% commission. (Units keep commissions and only turn in unsold cards and money due)
  • April 28               Commission drops to 35%
  • April 30               Youth and Unit incentive drawings held

    hOW TO

    1. Determine now the programs the Scouts plan to participate in this year 
    2. Determine the number of active youth 
    3. Set a per-youth sales goal (number of cards each)
    4. Set an overall unit sales goal  
    5. Communicate with each youth and parent 
      1. How the sale teaches youth the value of earning their way 
      2. Where the unit plans to use the sales commission (i.e. camps, uniform, unit trailer, etc.)
    6. Communicate timeline clearly with all youth and parents
      1. Calendar a unit kick-off
      2. Communicate turn-in dates for money and unsold cards 

    Unit Incentive

    Sign-up by February 9th + money/unsold cards in by April 24th + sell a minimum of 250 cards and your unit will be in a drawing for a $250 Gift Card

    Youth Incentives

    • Sell 100 or more cards to earn a $10 Amazon Gift Card.
    • Top seller in each district will earn a $50 Amazon Gift Card.
    • Top seller in the council will earn a $100 Amazon Gift Card.
    • Sell a minimum of 100 cards and you’ll be entered into the grand prize drawing on April 30th for your choice of an iPad Mini, Xbox One S, or a  GoPro.

    Set your goal to get to camp

    1. Sell 36 cards to get to Cub Scout Day Camp ($90)
    2. Sell 40 cards to get to Cub Scout Summer Camp ($100)
    3. Sell 80 cards to get to Camp Melakwa ($200)
    4. Sell 100 cards to earn a $10 Amazon gift card bonus
    5. Sell 118 cards to get to Camp Baker ($295)
