Every Scout we serve DESERVES a trained leader! Trained leaders provide higher quality programs, have longer tenure, enjoy Scouting more, and understand their role in Scouting better.
You will find trainings germane to your position in Scouting: Youth Protection, Cub Basic, Scout Basic, Venturing/Exploring Basic, Hazardous weather, Safe Swim / Safety Afloat, Cub Games and Activities, Scout knots, Map and Compass, Family Camping Standards, Service Project Management and Record Keeping, Scout Advancement, Scout Committee Basic, Charter Rep Training, Unit Commissioner Basic, Den Chief Training, JLT….And so much more!!!!!
Each leader MUST have the basics before taking advanced courses. This way, our Scouts get the best leaders possible! So when you register, make sure you take Scout Basic FIRST along with Advanced Dutch Oven Cooking J
Cost: FREE!! Refreshments and lunch will be provided, materials will be provided.
We will be looking for assistance, so if you have food or printing resources, please let us know.
Time: 8:00 AM Registration: Sessions begin at 8:45 AM Saturday morning with a general session and gathering. Sessions will go each hour on the hours till 4:00PM. Lunch at 12.
Pre-course Preparation: Print out any certificates of training or make copies of what you have done. Turn them in on site. We will then turn in those records to make sure your council computer record is up to date.
Register: A Schedule will be made available in September and emailed out as well as posted to www.OTCBSA.org. You will be able to register in October.
