Oregon Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America serves more than 5,000 youth, supported by over 2,500 adults in over 400 units. It includes 7 districts in 6 counties covering Western Oregon including communities like Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Roseburg, and Coos Bay. Scouts are also served along the Oregon Coast is covered from Lincoln City to Brookings.

Den Leader Position-Specific Training
This course is intended to provide Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos den leaders with the information and tools they need to conduct successful den meetings and is available with your district.

Cubmaster & Assistant Cubmaster Position-Specific Training
This course is intended to provide Cubmasters with the information and tools they need to successfully lead a Cub Scout pack and is available with your district.

Pack  Committee Position-Specific Training (Pack Committee Challenge)
Designed to build effective communication and teamwork within your Pack Committee, this course helps each committee member better understand their role in the operation of a successful pack program and is available within your district.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
This one-day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders who are interested in adding a camping component to their pack activities and is available within your district.


BOY SCOUT LEADERS

Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training
The course will provide Scoutmasters with the basic information and tools they need to lead successful Boy Scout troops and is available within your district.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) 
This hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors and is available within your district. Required for Scoutmasters and ASMs to be considered "TRAINED".  Committee Members and Parents who want to camp with the Troop are encouraged to take this training.

Troop Committee Position-Specific Training (Troop Committee Challenge)
Designed to build effective communication and teamwork within your Troop Committee, this course helps each committee member better understand their role in the operation of a successful troop program and is available within your district.


VENTURING LEADERS

Venturing Youth Protection Training
This course is required for all adult Venturing leaders. This training will help leaders understand and guide youth through possible problems as it relates to abuse. You will also learn about the issues you may face as a leader to help provide a safer environment for the crew members and to protect yourself from false accusations. my.scouting.org

Venturing Advisor Position-Specific Training
The course will provide an introduction to the responsibilities, opportunities, and resources that will ensure a successful Venturing crew leadership experience and is available within your district.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)

WOOD BADGE

Wood Badge is a Scouting leadership program and the related award for adult leaders in the programs of Scout associations throughout the world. Wood Badge courses aim to make Scouters better leaders by teaching advanced leadership skills, and by creating a bond and commitment to the Scout movement.
